Based on a True Story

Last Resort Players presents Based on a True Story (B.O.A.T.S.) at the Florence Events Center on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. This event proved extremely popular with audiences when first presented two seasons ago at the FEC. Take "Chicken Soup for the Soul," stir in a "TED talk," add a sprinkle of twinkle in your eye and you have BOATS.

Sometimes life is stranger than fiction, and this variety of stories promises to be laugh-out-loud-funny, provocative, poignant and in some cases life changing.  The storytellers are your local friends, relatives, teachers, councilors, pastors and restaurant servers.  It’s a lineup not to be missed. Between stories, musician Debra Young, will accompany the stories with a collection of complimentary tunes.

General admission tickets are just $15, with food and drinks available for purchase.
