Dancing with Sea Lions Public Art Project

In April the Dancing with Sea Lions project hit the streets of Florence, Newport and Reedsport. To celebrate 20 years of the Florence Events Center giving back to the arts community, twenty fiberglass painted sea lions are placed in public locations for visitors to enjoy. Follow the map and view all 20 uniquely designed sea lions! The arts have a ripple effect on the community - just like sea lions dancing through our beautiful Pacific Ocean. AUCTION - October 8

The Auction for the remaining dancing sea lions will be held on October 8th at the Florence Events Center. Sponsors had the opportunity to purchase their sea lions. The remaining art pieces are being offered to the general public at a "Buy It Now" price until September 30th. If an interested buyer would like to secure a sea lion for purchase AND agree to keep it in public view until 2019, the cost is $6,500. For buyers that would like to purchase the sea lion and keep it for personal use (without public access for viewing) the cost of the art piece is $8,500. The remaining sea lions will be auctioned off at a beginning bid of $1,996 on Saturday, October 8th at 6:00 p.m.
