Food and Beverage Worker - Job ID — 35514

The general duties and responsibilities of a Food and Beverage Worker include providing support to the Chef and Lead Cook at the Florence Events Center. This includes performing general food preparation and serving functions, including concessions, to support the facility during catered events. Duties will be assigned based on scheduled events and availability.

Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour

Position Functions:

Provide kitchen support to Lead Cook and/or Chef

  • Prepare foods and beverages according to instructions and follow safe food handling policies and procedures
  • Portion and plate food
  • Restock food inventory, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing in the kitchens

Provide support at Food and Beverage Events

  • Perform event set up (setting placements, table setup, etc.)
  • Sell concessions and operate the point of sale device to take cash and credit transactions
  • Buss and wipe down tables, counters, empty trash, etc. during events
  • Perform event clean up after events (wash dishes, clean equipment, put cleaned items away, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Possess or obtain active Food Handlers Card in good standing by the hire date
  • Possess or obtain active OLCC Service Permit in good standing if requested.

Schedule: Scheduling is based on number of events.
