FRAA Big Wave Poetry Fest

The Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) presents the Big Wave Poetry Fest at the Florence Events Center. The Spoken Word Poetry Contest begins at 6 p.m., with as many as 40 poets "throwing down" their best original rhymes and stanzas in poems lasting up to 3 minutes. Top prize is $500, along with $250 for second place and $100 for third.

A special youth poetry contest will be held at 2 p.m., with the winner receiving $100, $50 for second place and $25 for third.
