FRAA Big Wave Poetry Fest Youth Contest

The Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) presents the Big Wave Poetry Fest special youth poetry contest at 2 p.m. at the Florence Events Center. The winner receives $100, $50 for second place and $25 for third.

The Spoken Word Poetry Contest for adults begins at 6 p.m., with as many as 40 poets "throwing down" their best original rhymes and stanzas in poems lasting up to 3 minutes. Top prize is $500, along with $250 for second place and $100 for third.
