Lane Blood Center

The Lane Blood Center mobile unit will be at FEC on Monday, April 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“We provide a safe, easy way for Florence residents to donate blood at our mobile donation center, - and help save lives,” Center managers say. Lane Blood Center is the sole provider of blood products in Lane County, providing blood for PeaceHealth Medical Centers, McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center and beyond.

There is always an ongoing need for blood at Lane County hospitals. Summertime brings with it an increase in accidents, including trauma injuries and burns, where blood is a life-saving necessity.

Prospective donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Donors should eat a good meal before coming to the blood bank and should bring picture ID.
