Moon Over Buffalo Auditions

Last Resort Players announces they will hold auditions for Ken Ludwig's Moon Over Buffalo on December 17th and 18th from 1 to 4 p.m.at the Florence Events Center. 4 roles for men and 4 roles for women will be cast. Rehearsals will start January 8th. The performance dates are March 17, 18 & 19 and 24, 25, & 26, 2017.

In the madcap comedy tradition of Lend Me a Tenor, the hilarious Moon Over Buffalo centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950's. At the moment, they're playing Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac in rep in Buffalo, New York with 5 actors. On the brink of a disasterous split-up caused by George's dalliance with young ingenue, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee, and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter's clueless finance and hilarious uncertainty about which play they're actually performing, caused by Charlotte's deaf, old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George's body.

Moon Over Buffalo will be directed by Paula Lindekugel-Willis and assisted by James Wellington. Those interested in tech and stage crew are also encouraged to come to auditions. For more information, please contact Paula at 701-721-0327.
