Rhododendron Court Scholarship Showcase

The Rhododendron Court Scholarship Showcase will be presented Wed., May 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Florence Events Center. The event features local high school seniors who will compete for scholarships and the title of Queen Rhododendra.
The showcase will be a night of talents, dance numbers, and interviews. Court members will be judged individually on participation, mentorship, public speaking and platform presentation, pin sales, and talent. In addition, a junior court of as many as five princesses will represent grades 1 through 5 from Florence and Mapleton.
Queen Rhododendra will be crowned at the end of the showcase, and the courts will make appearances in the Kids' Parade and Grand Floral Parade during the 109th Rhododendron Festival, May 19-22. General admission tickets are $13 and may be purchased in advance through the eventcenter.org website or by calling the FEC box office at 541-997-1994.
