Second Star Festival

The Hawks' Aerie announces their first annual Family-Friendly Festival, Goblin Market, and Forum of the Fantastique! It is a festival of art, music, and film, festival dedicated to cultivating and sharing The Creative Spark! Come join us at The Florence Events Center in Florence  on August 8th and 9th. 

The underlying theme of the festival is Find Your Creative Spark!  There are endless ways to be innovative.  You do not have to draw, paint, or play an instrument to be inspirational to the world around you. Creativity can show itself through building robots, making short films, dancing, or creating just about anything your imagination discovers. Creativity truly takes on any form that you give it. The Second Star Festival is here to support and help sustain every person's Creative Path. Come garner the inspiration you need to find your creative spark, then find It and share it with the world.

There will be two days and one evening filled to the brim with phenomenal local and regional artisans, workshops, Talks From the Flight Deck, kids' activities/workshops, puppetry, South Eugene Robotics Team, Steve La Riccia's Interactive Steampunk Art Pieces, Eugene Bhangra Dance Group, Eugene Taiko Drum Ensemble, daytime acoustic musicians, and an amazing Saturday evening Airship Cabaret (nighttime concert) including Toby Froud's new film, “Lessons Learned.”  We will also have several interactive vending booths;  such as, reiki, massage, faery hair, and face painting.  All together, there will be 40 some Vendor Artists showcasing their wares for your perusal and inspiration.

Festivities begin at 10 am on Saturday and go until 6 pm.  There will be a meal break for an hour and a half for patrons. The concert perfromance will begin at 7:30pm with Faerabella,  Tricky Pixie,  and Toby Froud (who has also worked on Boxtrolls and Paranorman).  Come back on Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm to continue where you left off on Saturday.  Obtain a weekend pass plus a concert ticket for the ability to see the entire festival for $45!  Special pricing for children so that families can attend all together: ages 0-6 get into the daily festival for free, ages 7-12 daily tickets are only $7 for both days.
