“Some things in life are just meant to be,” said Melanie Heard, Artistic Director and Founder of C.R.O.W., as well as playwright of this year’s 2025 Holly Jolly Follies.
This year’s show will take the stage at the Florence Events Center on December 5, 6, and 7—with evening performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. The production marks the 8th anniversary of C.R.O.W. bringing this beloved holiday tradition to Florence.
For Florence residents, the Follies “kicks off the holiday season” and features a vibrant mix of variety acts woven into the central storyline. Audiences can look forward to:
- The Flight Dance Team and the debut of the new Jr. Flight Dance Team
- Talented vocalists, dancers, and performers of all ages
- An over-the-top commercial spoof
- Live holiday music – The Holly Jolly Follies Band!
- And, of course, the hilariously awesome World-Famous Tutu Dads
This year’s story centers on Scarlett Elf, a brave orphan who discovers the true meaning of family when she finds a home filled with love and warmth. Along the way, audiences will experience subplots of long-lost love rekindled later in life, meaningful “meant to be” moments of loss and discovery, and a small-town holiday brimming with laughter, music, and plenty of hot chocolate.
In addition to the Follies’ onstage fun, audiences will enjoy:
- A festive lobby boutique with treats and holiday surprises
- A community-wide Gingerbread House contest, voted on by the public
- Tasty concessions by the Florence Events Center
- Florence Food Share donation bins—audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to help local families in need

Ticket sales from the Follies directly support C.R.O.W.’s free and low-cost arts programming, including youth scholarships and production expenses for the nonprofit’s Spring 2026 mainstage show, Seussical The Musical, with auditions scheduled for next January. C.R.O.W. was founded in 2011, and gives back to the community in several ways, including active community outreach to local schools, senior homes, charitable organizations, and service clubs. Every year, C.R.O.W. awards many thousands of dollars in scholarship funding to low income families, so that the Arts are made accessible to all. "Supporting this production helps to keep our beautiful Arts community alive," said Heard. "So, please come enjoy this year's Follies magic, and don't forget to bring your whole family!"
