Calendar Date:

Register now for the training: “Building Resiliency in the Florence Area through Community Organizations” taking place on Tuesday, June 20, 9am-4pm at the Florence Events Center. United Way of Lane County, with a grant from OHA, along with the City of Florence, Lane County Public Health, and the Lane Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) are bringing nationally-recognized preparedness trainer Ana-Marie Jones from Oakland, CA to Florence for this one-day only training.

Tickets are FREE and people representing community organizations that have a mission to help those most in need are strongly encouraged to attend. Lunch provided and space is limited. Some organizations may want to have 2-3 staff attend in order to ramp up the organization’s preparedness culture. City officials and private entities are also warmly welcomed and encouraged to attend. The connections made during the training, along with Ana-Marie’s specialized training techniques, will help attendees take a collective leap towards a more resilient and prepared community.
