Gallery Reception for John Leasure

 A reception will be held for Artist John Leasure and his Art Students from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m

The public is invited to come and meet the artists, as well as enjoy refreshments.

Galleries One and Five at the FEC are pleased to exhibit the paintings of well known Florence artist and teacher, John Leasure, as well as some of his art students, during the month of September. Leasure will be exhibiting his paintings in Gallery One, and art students will be displaying in Gallery Five.

Originally from Southern California, Leasure has lived in Florence for the past 36 years, owning West Coast Cabinets. For the last 25 years, he has taught oil painting classes in Florence and Eugene. His latest venture has been teaching the popular “Wallflowers and Wine” evening events at the FEC, as well as teaching Saturday morning oil painting classes at Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA), 121 Maple St. Leasure serves as Treasurer of the Board at FRAA, and is a volunteer on the Gallery Committee at FEC. He has displayed at many local venues, including Peace Health Medical Center, Dunes Café, the Florence Chamber of Commerce, Oregon Pacific Bank, and the Siuslaw Library.
