Americans We: A Star-Spangled Celebration

The Pacific Coast Wind Ensemble celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary with a spirited concert of American music, patriotic favorites, and rousing wind ensemble classics.  The program features music from Irving Berlin, including “God Bless America,” George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, New Orleans-style jazz, a playful “Fugue on Yankee Doodle,” a salute to America’s armed forces, and John Philip Sousa’s beloved “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Performances are Sunday, June 28 at 2 PM at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St., Florence, and Saturday, July 4 at 1 PM at the Florence Elks Lodge, 1686 12th St., Florence.  Admission is free; donations are suggested, and free snacks and beverages are available during intermission.
