Patricia (Trish) Stutz Art Show

Artist Patricia Stutz will be the featured artist in Gallery One during the month of October at the Florence Events Center. 

Stutz is a resident of Reedsport, Oregon. Though loving sketching and painting in her youth, she found it difficult to pursue during her years of working and raising a family. After retirement, she rekindled her passion for art. “I am fortunate enough to have a dedicated home studio for my painting and a beautiful state to gather inspirational ideas.” Stutz works many hours in her studio learning and enhancing her techniques in both oils and acrylics. She studies under several instructors and is currently studying painting with John Leasure. 

Her preferred subject matter are those things found in nature, including seascapes, landscapes, and the variety of creatures inhabiting them. “I do enjoy sneaking in a rustic cabin or an inviting lighthouse as an addition to any painting. My goal is to continue to grow as an artist and a person. I truly believe that by trying hard at one, it only serves to enhance the other.”

An Artist Reception for Patricia Stutz is scheduled for Friday, October 19th, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the FEC. The public is invited to come and meet the artist, and enjoy refreshments, conversations, and beautiful art. In addition to Stutz’s reception in Gallery One, the public will have the opportunity to view art by local artists in Gallery Five for the exhibit titled “Everything Odd-Umn.”
