The Gallery Committee of Florence Arts, Culture & Entertainment (FACE) presents the painting and sculpture of Rosy and Pancho Clark at the Florence Events Center’s (FEC) Galleries from May 31st through June 26th.
The works of this extremely talented couple have been popular in the Florence community since they moved here in 1992, and both are excited to share a gallery show and reception with our community.
Originally from England, Rosy Clark is an active West Coast artist who has always been passionate about the arts. Her long, successful oeuvre in painting, mural, and textile arts is very familiar to Florence residents. The dynamic paintings in this show have been influenced by Georgia O’Keeffe.
“This collection of paintings was created under sun and sky, and reflects a freedom of expression which I hope will inspire and bring enjoyment to all,” said Rosy.
Pancho Clark is a man of many talents. As a master welder and metal sculptor working in diverse fields of design, his works are known locally, nationally and internationally and are displayed in many public areas, corporate settings, and private homes. His commissions have included hand crafted knives for Snap-on Tools, cleavers for professional chefs, and art pieces purchased by Randy Travis, Willie Nelson, and others.
Pancho’s work was recently displayed in the City of Florence’s rotating public arts program: Art Exposed. One of Rosy’s murals can be seen at the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum. Her painted sea lion, “Feeling Fabulous,” part of the 2015 Dancing with Sea Lions FACE/FEC Project, is installed in front of Banner Bank at 777 Highway 101, Florence.
Come meet the artists and discuss their work! An Artist's Reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Florence Events Center. The event is free and open to the public; catering will be provided by Jeremy Austen of Austentatious Gallery fame.
The Rosy & Pancho Clark exhibit will open for viewing during regular business hours at the FEC. During various private events, the Galleries may be closed to the public. We apologize for any inconvenience.
